Texts: Exodus 12 and Mark 10

Preacher: Tom Zucconi

In this final Sunday before Holy Week we see an interesting contrast between the restrictions on participation in the Passover Meal (Exodus 12) vs Jesus’ comments to the disciples and participation in his Kingdom (Mark 10). Where one is restrictive and exclusive, the other is invitational and inclusive. But is there a catch to the latter? A bait and switch perhaps? If entry into the Kingdom is so easy, what then—a costly sustaining membership fee? Let’s look at Exodus 12 and Mark 10 today, comparing and contrasting Jesus’ saving grace in our lives and the cost, if any, to us! Welcome to all who worship!
