Holy Cross Lutheran School seeks to nurture the whole child: body, mind
and spirit. Extra-curricular activities enrich the curriculum. The
following activities, which meet outside of the normal class schedule,
are available for students of Holy Cross:
Choir
Rehearsals are held after school. Performances are scheduled for
evenings and occasional Sunday morning services.
Boys and Girls Soccer and Basketball
Our teams participate in Dallas Lutheran Schools League competition and
tournaments from August through February.
Holy Cross 5th and 6th grade Kids in Christ
KIC has a schedule of meetings throughout the year which are service as
well as social oriented with spiritual emphasis.
Art Club for Grades 3-6
This club, which meets once a week after school, gives students an
opportunity to express their creativity and learn even more about art
and artists.
Scholar Bowl
Students participate in academic competitions with other Lutheran
schools in the Dallas area.
Band
Private lessons are offered before school for students in the upper
grades who are interested in learning to play a band instrument.
Spanish is Fun
After-school instruction in Spanish for ages 4 through grade 6;
1-hour classes four times per month.
Capers for Kids
(Drama Club) Sessions for K-2 and grades 3-6 students are scheduled for
14 Mondays of the school year.
Science Adventures
High interest science topics are explored by K-6 students to enrich
curricular offerings.
